📱 How to Delete Your Account In-App
- Open the Banajiga Matrimony Android app and log in to your account.
- Tap the Menu (☰) icon to open the side menu.
- Go to Settings ➔ Delete Profile.
- Select your reason for leaving.
- Enter your current password and confirm the deletion.
🗑️ What Data is Deleted & Retained
When you delete your account, your profile is deactivated and hidden from all members immediately. Your personal data listed below is then permanently erased within 30 days of the deletion request. Only the records listed under "Retained for Compliance" are kept, for the period required by law, after which they are also deleted.
Permanently Deleted Data:
- Profile photos and documents
- Personal, family & horoscope info
- Interest history & messages
- Search preferences & shortlists
Retained for Compliance:
- Financial transaction records (GST & Audit compliance for 7 years)
- Abuse / Fraud investigation logs (if flagged)
